This was my first programming assignment after graduating from college. The aim was to replace the outdated sales system with a new one. As part of the migration, the entire Visual FoxPro code was transferred to Visual Basic. The project was successful for the company, with the outcome being a 30% increase in sales.
The development process comprised four phases: analysis, design, implementation, and testing. During the analysis phase, all data, including inputs, processes, and outputs, were examined. In my opinion, this is the most crucial information in any system. In the design phase, all aspects related to user interaction with the system (UX/UI) were planned. The implementation phase involved deploying the system at the point of sale. Finally, in the testing phase, the system was tested with end users, and necessary adjustments were made.
In summary, the system was created using Visual Basic and is still in running today, demonstrating its robustness and reliability. It includes comprehensive modules for inputs, outputs, point of sale, accounting, payroll, and cash management. This all-in-one solution has streamlined business operations and significantly improved efficiency, contributing to the company's sustained growth and success.
